Who We Are
The Society for ADHD and Co-Occurring Conditions is a national 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to education and advocacy for individuals navigating ADHD and co-occurring conditions. Founded by individuals living with ADHD, we stand at a unique and critical intersection that no other ADHD organization occupies: the space where faith, culture, and ADHD awareness meet.
Our Mission
We empower adults, faith-based communities, and historically marginalized populations through ADHD awareness, advocacy, education, and collaboration. By meeting people in the places they worship, work, and live, we bridge critical gaps in access to culturally conscious care, resources, and support.
Our Distinctive Niche
The Society is the only ADHD organization in the United States with a dedicated focus on faith-based and marginalized communities. Faith communities serve as trusted pillars in Black, Latino, immigrant, and other underserved communities where ADHD is chronically underdiagnosed and deeply stigmatized. We leverage that trust to deliver science-backed education, reduce stigma, and improve life outcomes for individuals and families who have historically been left out of the neurodiversity conversation.
What It Means to Be Faith-Informed
The Society is not a faith-based organization. We are a faith-informed, community-rooted secular nonprofit with no denominational affiliation. Our faith-informed approach means we meet people within the faith contexts they already trust, delivering science-backed, evidence-based education and support without requiring any faith commitment from our staff, partners, or participants. This positions The Society to serve across traditions, cultures, and communities as a credible, accessible resource for all.
