For Faith Based Orgs
The Society for ADHD and Co-Occurring Conditions is committed to meeting people in the places they already gather, worship, and find community. We partner with faith communities of all traditions — across denominations, backgrounds, and beliefs — to bring faith-informed, community-rooted ADHD education, awareness, and support directly to the people who need it most.
Faith communities serve as trusted pillars in Black, Latino, immigrant, and other underserved populations where ADHD is chronically underdiagnosed and deeply stigmatized. We leverage that trust to reduce stigma, build understanding, and expand access to culturally conscious care — because we believe that spiritual flourishing and mental wellbeing are deeply connected.
Our Faith-Based Initiatives
ADHD UnMasked Faith-Based Support Groups
Safe, affirming spaces within local congregations where neurodivergent individuals and their families find understanding, community, and practical support rooted in both faith and science.
Different Not Broken Church Leadership Training & Technical Assistance
A comprehensive training program that equips church administrators, leaders, and lay members with the knowledge and tools needed to establish and sustain ADHD UnMasked Support Groups in their congregations. Participants receive structured guidance, evidence-informed strategies, and one year of ongoing technical assistance from The Society.
ADHD Educational Luncheon Series
Quarterly gatherings that bring together faith leaders, healthcare professionals, educators, and community members to explore the intersections of faith, mental health, and neurodiversity through honest dialogue and culturally grounded learning.
Mental Wellbeing Interfaith Alliance of the DMV
A by-invitation-only collaborative network of faith communities, healthcare providers, educators, and families united around supporting individuals living with ADHD. Its curated membership ensures alignment with The Society's mission and values while providing critical insight that shapes our work.
DMV Faith & Mental Wellbeing Working Group
An open coalition of faith communities, mental health professionals, educators, nonprofits, corporations, and community partners advancing mental wellbeing across the region. Rooted in the belief that mental health is essential to both human and spiritual flourishing, the Working Group drives education, advocacy, and access to affordable, culturally conscious, evidence-based care.
ADHD UnMasked: Different Not Broken Conference
The first annual faith-based ADHD conference in the country — bringing together faith leaders, healthcare providers, therapists, educators, nonprofits, and advocates to advance awareness, collaboration, and community impact. A landmark gathering where faith and care, tradition and science, and community and clinical support converge.
