About the event
Join guest Cynthia Hammer, MSW, Author of Living with Inattentive ADHD and Executive Director of the Inattentive ADHD Coalition as she discusses the nuances and symptom of ADHD in women and girls. Girls symptoms are often missed in school which can lead to struggles throughout their lifespan. Cynthia will discuss the importance of ADHD screening before the age of 8 and the struggles girls and women deal with when undiagnosed. You'll also learn how you can advocate for your daughter if you suspect she has ADHD.
The mission of the Inattentive ADHD Coalition is that children with inattentive ADHD are diagnosed by age 8 and adults with inattentive ADHD are readily and correctly diagnosed when they seek help.
The mission of our project FINDtheADHDgirls.org is to get girls with ADHD identified and helped before age 8.
Why it matters:
Helps ADHD girls reach their full potential by providing tools and support.
