Advocacy for Equity & Inclusion

The Society for ADHD is dedicated to breaking down systemic barriers that prevent neurodivergent individuals from accessing the support, opportunities, and dignity they deserve. We advocate for equitable accommodations in education and employment, fight against discriminatory practices in healthcare, and push for greater awareness and training for professionals. We challenge outdated narratives that focus on "curing" neurodivergence rather than fostering inclusion and understanding. Through policy efforts, community-driven initiatives, and collaboration with stakeholders, we work to create a world where neurodivergent individuals are valued, supported, and empowered to thrive.

Join our online community, ADHD & Neurodiversity Collaborative to become a Neurodiversity Advocate!

The Society for ADHD is committed to advocating on behalf of individuals with ADHD and its common comorbidities, such as anxiety, depression, and learning disabilities. Through grassroots advocacy, the organization works to amplify the voices of those impacted, fostering community-led initiatives that drive systemic change. The Society empowers individuals and families to engage in legislative advocacy, equipping them with tools and knowledge to influence policies that promote equity, access to care, and resources for marginalized communities.

Additionally, it provides legal advocacy to support individuals navigating discrimination, workplace challenges, or educational barriers, ensuring their rights are upheld and their needs are addressed. Together, these efforts aim to dismantle stigma, advance inclusion, and build a society that embraces and supports neurodiverse individuals.
